Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Can I use this medical coaching package to help me address medical or health issues with Dr. Pujari’s support?

A. Yes. The intention of this package is to help you work on both prevention of medical issues, and to address any current medical or health issues that you have concerns about. You will have an extended intake visit with Dr. Pujari to review your health concerns, and then 2 follow up medical appointment with her during the year, along with labs if you choose the lab option.

Q. What is unique about working with Dr. Pujari?

A. Dr. Pujari is double board certified in both Internal medicine, and Integrative Medicine (Integrative medicine can also be called holistic or natural or functional medicine). She worked for years as a primary care physician at a hospital system in Seattle. This is unique, because many providers who describe themselves as integrative have not gone through the full allopathic medical training, and have less breadth and scope of knowledge of Western medicine as a result. On the other hand, many Western medical physicians do not have a full board degree in holistic modalities, which limits their ability to recommend options other than pharmaceutical medications, or to discuss long term prevention in a holistic way. In addition, Dr. Pujari has extensive experience in mind-body tools, and will include that aspect in your appointment if you wish as well.

Q. Can I submit the appointments with Dr. Pujari to insurance?

A. Yes. Dr. Pujari would be considered an out of network provider, so coverage for your visits with her will depend on your out of network coverage with your health insurance. We do not bill insurance for you, so you would need to submit the paperwork on your own to insurance. Each time you have an appointment with Dr. Pujari, we can provide you with a “superbill” for that appointment, which is a document that you submit on your own to your insurance for reimbursement. The total amount you can submit to insurance would be $385 x3, which is $1155, but we can only give you the superbill after each appointment is complete; we cannot provide you with it prior to an appointment or “in bulk.” The nutritionist consultation and two lab sets that are part of the package cannot be submitted to insurance, but are covered in the package cost.

Q. If I already had baseline wellness labs done in the past 6 months with my primary care doctor, do I need to do the baseline labs?

A. No. Dr. Pujari can use the labs you already have, and you can substitute an additional appointment with the nutritionist instead.

Q. What if I don’t want the midpoint labs with Dr. Pujari? Can I substitute another nutritionist appointment?

A. Yes. Instead of either of the lab sets – baseline or midpoint – you can substitute a nutritionist appointment instead.

Example:

- Skip 1 lab set = 1 nutrition appointment

- Skip 2 lab sets (baseline + midpoint labs) = 2 nutrition appointments
